I recently upgraded from CS2 to LightroomCC and PhotoshopCC at the same time I purchased a new computer with a new operating system. While trying to import photographic files from my old computer on a memory stick into Lightroom on my new computer, the files were completely scrambled in Lightroom and organized by dates rather than as I had them grouped and identified as different projects in separate files. So pictures of my son are mixed up with my fine art photography book images which are scrambled up with my greeting card designs etc. Is there a way to import these files into Lightroom in which they translate exactly as I had them organized on my old computer?
Thank-you for your quick response.
When I open the Import Window of Lightroom the only button that's active is
the 'Copy' button. The 'Add' button is not highlighted.

You can't use ADD when the files are on a removable disk such as your memory stick.
You can (using your operating system) copy the files to your hard disk in whatever folder structure you want them to be, and then using Lightroom import using ADD to retain that folder structure.
