This means your Files are missing .
Please reconnect the images (Connect the External drive,Card where they might be located)
Even if you have renamed the folder containing images outside lightroom,Images will go missing

Thanks for your help, Akash. I am still connected to the external drive housing my pictures and that folder. I am noticing, however, that I can no longer open the files directly in that folder on my laptop. Not sure what happened. Does that mean I need to reload all of my picture files from my SD card back on to that external drive?
Yes that means you need to reload pictures to your harddrive
Those Pictures on your harddrive might have got Moved/Deleted
reload Pictures to your External drive and reconnect them in Lightroom
In trying to either re-import the photo files into LR or attempting to

- Please Right Click on Lightroom icon on Desktop and select "Run as Administrator".
- Also try disconnecting the external HD and see if that solves that
This error message means your photos have been corrupted somehow.
You need to find your backups of these photos, and restore the backups.
You also need to run diagnostics on your hard disk and memory to see if a possible hardware malfunction is causing this to happen.
