Please uninstall Acrobat Reader from your iPad and install it again from the App Store.

Please note that iOS (the operating system) will erase all of the associated application data (including documents and preferences) if you uninstall any iOS app.
Please make sure to back up all of your PDF documents in Acrobat Reader for iOS before you uninstall it.
I did that but it still crashes what else can I do?
Besides I thought the iPad would backup the files by itself... Apparently not! Should have seen the reply below yours!
