Since upgrading to latest Mac OX El Capitan v 10.11, I am unable to files 20MB or larger, which I was able to open before. On attempt to open the file, Fireworks CS6 either crashes OR shows a an "Could not complete your request" message. If I close all applications and try to open the file with only fireworks open, I have been able to open the file for a few seconds before Fireworks crashes.
UPDATE: I've been in contact w/ Adobe's Customer Support team on twitter who have responded Adobe Customer Care on Twitter: "@yesi79 I am so sorry, I have escalated the issue to the Fireworks Team, they should be…
That would be an ignorant reply at best, or a blatant lie at worst: the development of Fireworks was halted in May 2013, and the last support update was released a couple of months after.
Do not hold your breath. I suspect the member of Adobe's customer support team who responded to you probably has no knowledge of Fireworks' halted development. There is no more Fireworks dev team.
Fireworks is dead, and I would expect to see elephants fly before any bugs and issues with Capitan are resolved.
