You can probably tell by the context of my question that I'm aware of the removal. However, I've obviously been unclear in my intent.
"The new architecture will allow a future version of After Effects to utilize processor threads and RAM more efficiently than the Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously functionality ever could." (bold mine)
IF you have information about when this future version is intended for release, is there a projected or hopeful deployment date? I understand that there are no firm commitments, I'm just trying to get a sense of what Adobe's working on and when they hope to release this anticipated (albeit vague) feature.
Good question, Greg. I can't give an official answer since I don't work for Adobe, but I can give you my old-timer guess!
The AE team posted about what's coming in the next update in a blog post last month: http://blogs.adobe.com/aftereffects/2015/09/whats-new-and-changed-in-the-upcoming-update-t o-after-effects-cc-2015.html
Seeing as they don't list the new renderer in that post, I'm going to guess it's not coming until at least next year. They tend to do big updates in late spring and late autumn, so let's hope (if it is coming next year) that it is the earlier of those two!
