can i download to an external drive

I don't have a lot of room on my laptop and desktop computers, which is where I use Adobe Cloud. Is there a way I can download onto my external hard drive so I can free up some space on my two Macs?

Change Install Location for Applications

With the CC application opened, choose the little gear icon in the upper right corner and then choose Preferences.  In the Preferences screen select Creative Cloud and then look for the Install Location drop down
