I've downloaded the Premiere Elements 14 trial, have a Samsung laptop with Intel HD 4000 card running Windows 10 Pro and have just tested the hardware acceleration feature.
It appears to make absolutely no difference to rendering time! Rendering a two minute clip from an AVCHD file into MP4 took 1:40 on Sony Movie Studio 12, but 3:25 on Premiere 14. I checked several times that all parameters were equal.
Anyone else come across this?
I do not have a computer that uses a Intel HD Graphics 2000 or higher video card/graphics card so that I could quantitate the Hardware Acceleration effects given to Premiere Elements 13 or 14 on a computer that uses the Intel HD Graphics 2000 and higher card and the preference for this enabled. Did you verify that the Intel HD Graphics 2000 and higher preference is enabled in Edit Menu/Preference/General. Typically it is the default. Good to double check anyway.
The following contains a copy of the statement that Premiere Elements Help Team posted when Premiere Elements 13 was released
Did you evaluate Timeline Rendering as well as exporting with "MPEG or AVC presets"?
