Perhaps we already know the solution, if you'd simply describe the problem.
NOTE: apologies: title should read LR 2015.2
I have spent all of 20 minutes working in LR and it crashed 3 times in that period, and once kicked up an error message (Lightroom quit unexpectedly ...) when I loaded a different catalogue.
The three crashes are all related to removing images from a catalogue (in Library module)
I am not asking for a fix (yet )but thank you kindly for the offer – have been using LR for long enough to know this kind of behaviour is not normal. The previous release was by all accounts very stable. I can only hope that the Develop module proves to be more stable.
Hi Bernard Voges,
Please follow the below steps:
- Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
- Click on the General tab
- Uncheck “Show ‘Add Photos’ Screen”Restart Lightroom
If that does not help please uncheck "Use Graphic Processor" under Lightroom preferences.
Restart Lightroom and check whether you are still facing issues or not.
If Lightroom still crashes please share the crash logs with us.
Thanks Sarika, I made the changes to the general tab and switching from cat to cat seemed fine (had one case where LR shut down, as it is of course expected to, and then nothing – no error message, no new catalogue opening. All from within File, Open Recent).
I am afraid I cannot test the bulk delete function as I have cleared what I needed to clear today.
I presume you are using a Mac?? Which OS???
Yes. El Capitan.
Out of curiosity's sake what does 'Show 'Add Photos' Screen' do?
This seems to have fixed crashing when import.
Thanks for the link.
Boggles the mind how this passed beta testing.
