I am also using CS6 in El capitan and that was slow but i found some interesting solution on youtube Java SE 6 El Capitan - CS6 Not working on El Capitan - YouTube i hope this will help you. If you don't have Java on machine then it may slow your application.
Hi, I have done that. All applications are ok apart from inDesign, it takes ages to do anything....
Same here, Panels running very sloooow
did the Java SE6 already, the rest works ok , but InDesign not!
Adobe pls fix this soon! I'm a graphic designer and use InDesign daily! I can not work like this properly!
I'm the same as you. Graphic designer who works on InDesign most of the week as its a complete nightmare now...
Might have to start using something else....
Can somebody from Adobe please respond to the problem?????
Very few Adobe employees monitor this forum, however, here's the story:
InDesign CS6 is now 3-1/2 years old. For at least three or four years, Adobe has told everyone that there will be no more updates to Creative Suite 6 products. In this forum, we've been telling people for as long that if you buy CS6, there will come a time when an update to your operating system will cause a problem like this.
You have two alternatives: (1) Roll back to a version of the operating system that CS6 was tested for when it originally came out, or (2) purchase a subscription to the Creative Cloud version of InDesign.
It's not pleasant news, but it's the truth.
Thanks for the reply. I have been thinking about subscribing to the Creative Cloud but I didn't want to do it if the problem was still there.
Is it just down to CS6 then? Would adding more memory make any difference?
