Is This, Risolt thanks
I had already searched the forums before posting my problem. I've tried it, also I disabled the automatic recording of XMP in the catalog and the use of graphics accelerator. Having to do a roll back was something that was not in my plans and it will consume me valuable time, as well as patience. Sad and furious (could be a good movie title!);)
I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
This issue is impacting many of our users. Our engineering team is actively investigating this issue.
The fix will be rolled out very soon.
Meanwhile, I would suggest you to downgrade to Lightroom 2015.1 if you do not wish to wait for the fix.
LR 2015.2 crashed after every export when running under El Capitan. The change to preferences as described here appears to provide a workaround as LR has not crashed after the few exports I have tried since making the change.
How do you downgrade to 2015.1 ? I upgraded to 2015.2 yesterday and still on Yosemite 10.10.5 and it hangs all the time when I quit the app now.
There are many confirmed issues with LR 6.2 - you may try the steps here: Update on Lightroom 2015.2 / Lightroom 6.2 Release
Anyhow, you are best helped if you roll back to 6.1.1 as many users: http://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-roll-back-to-lightroom-2015-1-1-or-lightroom-6-1-1/
I experienced crashes after importing photos, next time after import when I clicked on a collection and by exporting a collection as a catalog. But the second time I did the mentioned actions no crashes occurred. The first time exporting a collection as a catalog, LR crashed, the second time I included smart previews; this ended without crashes. The third time I exported to a catalog without smart previews, this also ended without a crash. Importing of the catalog in my main catalog was also without any crashes. So, perhaps the crashes occur only the first time you use a function in LR.
iMac late 2013 and MacBook medio 2014 both with El Capitan.
