Scheduling Framework - Drag & Drop Extension

    Thomas Friedl

I'm currently extending the scheduling framework from adobe labs. So far all works great, but now I have some problems with the drag & drop functionality. I allready can drag & drop schedules but for a better look & feel I want to "lock" the y-axis of the drag object so that it can only be moved in the x direction.

So is it possible to lock a mouse axis for a drag/drop object? Maybe some hacks? I allready tried to save the y axis value at the drag start and check it on the dragEnter event - but the problem is, that the event is only called on every "new" drop object and since the background is one object it's only called once. So after the y-value is correct the first time it will always be until I drag over an other object.

      Hope this makes sense.
