Black text not printing as 100%K from Indesign

    cbenci Level 1

I have searched everywhere and can't work out what is going on.

      • I type some text and make it c0 m0 y0 k100. I print as a High Quality Print PDF and the using the Output preview tool in Acrobat the colour of the text turns to c75 m68 y67 k90.
      • I go back to the document, create a square and make it c0 m0 y0 k100. Print as a High Quality Print PDF and the square is correct but the text is still c75 m68 y67 k90.
      • I go back to the document and make a copy of the text, create outlines and print as a High Quality PDF. The square and the outlines are correct as 100k but the original text is still c75 m68 y67 k90.

I have changed fonts, sync'd colour settings in Adobe Bridge, trashed prefs, checked colour profiles, etc. and nothing changes this behaviour Short of converting the text to outlines, nothing fixes it.

Here's where is gets weird, I take the PDF into Photoshop, grab the eye dropper and all the text and boxes are 100k!

      Has anyone got any ideas?
