Lightroom picks up whatever the default email client is set on your machine.
For Lightroom to open outlook , you need to set outlook as your default email client.
For how to check the default email client on apple, please check apple forums or contact apple or if someone who is an apple user here can respond
Hi Jitendra... thanks for your suggestion but your reply "Lightroom picks up whatever the default email client is set on your machine." is not correct, at least not for me. The default email program on my Mac (10.12.6) is Outlook 2016 yet Lightroom insists on showing me Entourage which is baffling since I have never had Entourage on this computer. Ever. When I attempt to send an email it even comes up and asks me to locate Entourage (which of course it can't find; I never had it).
All other programs that attempt to send emails (e.g., clicking on an email link on a web page) correctly default to Outlook 2016. It's only Lightroom that defaults to a non-existent app. If I go into Apple Mail and change the default email app to Apple Mail and then back into LR it sends the photos via Apple Mail. But if I then go back into Apple Mail and change the default back to Outlook and attempt to email photos LR reverts back to showing Entourage (even Apple Mail doesn't give me the option of selecting Entourage of course because it is not installed and never was!).
Which version of Lightroom are you using
Hi Bob... the most recent, LR 6.12
(I'm really curious how or why it picks Entourage since I have never installed Entourage. At one point I had Outlook 2011 but that's all).
Thats strange as Wikipedia says Entourage was NOT in Office 2011 but was in Office 2008. I though maybe if you were using and older version of Lr it would be looking for Entourage but beings I just use Apple Mail I can't help.
