It sounds like your [Basic Text Frame] object style has vertical justification set to centre. With no documents open, check the style options - Text Frame General Options and set it back to Align: Top.
Thanks for your suggestion, but when I tried to make a change on a blank document, the Test Frame General Options was already set to Align: Top.
So, I’m guessing it is something specific within the document I’m working on.
I still have to set each text frame I create back to “Top.” But at least we know it’s within the document. I’ll keep playing with it.
OK Ron - so when you drag out a text frame in your current document - is
there a particular object style applied to it? If so, check the style
options for the same setting. Is it only this document that it happens on?

This is the only document it happens on. I just discovered that the which appears under the “Paragraph Styles” box is not present on my work document. I somehow moved it into a Style Group folder. I moved it out of the Style Group folder toward the top, but it moves only as high as directly under . Would it help to delete (which is not indented) and move (which is indented) in its place?
I hope this makes sense to you. I really appreciate your help.
