On Mac OS X El Capitan, the "Show import dialog when memory card is detected" does not work. Instead the Photos app opens annoying the hell out of me every time.
I ticked the box on the Photos app not to open when card is detected, but still overrides Lightroom instructions whenever the card is formatted. I went as far as disabling SIP on OSX, deleted the Photos app from existence, but now the Image Capture app on OSX is over riding Lightroom's instruction and it is now opening to annoy me instead of Lightroom every time I insert a card. Yes, I set it to open Lr when card is detected, but only works until I format the card (in a Canon camera).
I also want the eject card after import back. Why is that gone?
While I'm at it I'd like to report that these last two updates are TERRIBLE.
NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS.
Import preset is not applying the develop preset on import
Move option is missing on import
Eject card after import is gone too
Exporting images seems to be taking far longer
When applying adjustment brush the live preview does not always correspond to what I'm doing.
So far Lr crashed six or seven times since update.
I'm not happy with this. I'm a professional photographer and forced to lock in with a year subscription by paying in advance and then you spit out an update like this? You also take away features that I use daily?
Regarding the new Import, please add your vote and detailed opinion to this topic in the official Adobe feedback forum: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/new-update-6-2 (Adobe product developers rarely participate in this forum here.)
If you are experience crashes or slow performance, many of us recommend that you revert to CC 2015.1.1 / 6.1.1: How do I roll back to Lightroom 2015.1.1 or Lightroom 6.1.1? Wait until Adobe cleans up the mess with CC 2015.2.1 / 6.2.1 and let others do the beta testing.
