You can copy/paste the table but beyond that copy/pasting text into Excel from InDesign is going to leave you with a bit of mess. Why do you want to do this?

As Bob hinted, it would help to know the core objectives of this proposed maneuver. While your thread title appears to pertain to "a table," your question describes a document that "includes a lot of tables," which also seem to suggest it contains many pages.

            • If the text and tables in the document are fully threaded, you can set an active insertion point anywhere in your text, then choose: File > Export and set the Save as Type: menu to Rich Text Format. Open the resulting .rtf file in Word, then copy/paste to Excel from there.
            • If the document is not fully threaded, you may be able to do something similar by exporting first to PDF, then from Acrobat, Save As... Word or Rich Text Format
