Could you please let me know the version of Lightroom that you are using , and also what operating system are you working on ?
If you have Lightroom 6/LR CC 2015, then please try the following steps :
- Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
- Click on the General tab
- Uncheck “Show ‘Add Photos’ Screen”Restart Lightroom
- Also please Go to the Preferences > Performance Tab, and uncheck "Use Graphics Processor "
- Restart Lightroom and see if it works.
Hi Tanuj Sandal,
thank's for your fast response. First I thought performance issues are related to interent connection - but it when blocking internet the problems only start earlier.
I can't really work with Lightroom. Creating a collection (only the part entering the Name) lasts endlessly.
I'm Using Lightroom CC 2015 in an iMac (12GB RAM, SSD, Core i5) and OS X Yosemite. So Hardware can't be the problem.
These Problems occure and there is no single image imported.
Please check and if you have the latest version of Lightroom , LR CC 2015.2.1
Hi Tanuj Sandal!
I am using Lightroom CC Version 2015.2.1 and had a similar problem last weekend. I was doing a training and found the same problem as described by Chris. There was no wired LAN but WLAN which was secured by password. I had no password and so no connection to the internet. It took Lightroom minutes to execute any command. Only "Quit" was executed immediately.
