Lightroom 6 has the features that were included when it was initially released. The dehaze was not available at that time, even in Lightroom CC. Lightroom 6 does not receive feature updates, only camera support and bug fixes. Any new features will be saved until/if Lightroom 7 is released. Then you will have to make the decision whether you want to upgrade. That upgrade will be a paid upgrade. It will not be free. In the meantime, Lightroom CC will receive periodic updates that may include feature changes and additions. Historically, Adobe has not provided feature updates In version updates. New features have only been added when a new major upgrade has become available. So there's nothing different in the feature policy. Since you have purchased Lightroom 6, you have all the features that were made part of that program. You will have to wait for the next upgrade to receive any new features.
Hi Tom Mackie,
Yes,you are right Dehaze feature is only available to Lightroom CC 2015 version.
Below is the document for the same
But you would still be able to receive other updates for Lightroom 6 until we release the new version for Lightroom.
To raise a feature request for not having dehaze in standalone version, I would suggest you to raise a request at below provided link:

That you have to ask Adobe.

Will this be available in updates and more importantly can I get updates on a standalone version?
It is possible the this Feature is included in version 7. You get free updates (6.1, 6.2, ....) on the standalone version, but in this updates are only bugfixes and RAW support for new cameras and new objective profiles. But no new functions.
For the next "big" update (ex. version 7) you have to pay .
For the dehaze function there are several workarounds for LR 6.

Thank you Jim for clearing this up for me. I will just wait for the upgrade to 7 and in the meantime, make adjustments according to the other answers.
