Have you never updated to Lightroom CC 2015?
What version of Lightroom are you using? You can find out the version number from the menu:
Help >> System Info
What Nikon camera model are you using?
Have the files been through any other software e.g. Nikon Transfer etc?
Are you seeing an error message and if so, what does it say?
So I have been trying to update to the newest version for a while, but my creative cloud management application doesn't seem to be responding. So I tried to reinstall the CC management but said I wasn't able to.
I am using a Nikon D610, no I don't use any other transferring software. The message that pops up when I tried to import was there are no photos or videos
Could the files already be in the catalog?
Press the backslash key to bring up the filter bar above the thumbnails.
Then click text and type a file name into the search box next to contains all
