Some users are rolling back to 2015.1.1 which involves:

          1. Uninstalling Lightroom
          2. Installing LR CC 2015.0 from CC Desktop (see View Previous versions)
          3. Installing the 6.1.1/2015.1.1 update from the link below

            Hi davem01,

We are sorry to hear about the issue.

Can you please try the following steps:

            Solution 1:

            • Go to Lightroom > Preferences(Mac) or Edit> Preferences(Windows)
            • Click on the General tab
            • Uncheck “Show ‘Add Photos’ Screen” and Restart Lightroom

            Solution 2:

            • Go to Lightroom > Preferences(Mac) or Edit> Preferences(Windows)
            • Click on the Performance
            • Uncheck “Use Graphic Processor” and Restart Lightroom

            Solution 3:

Reset Lightroom preferences by holding the  shift + option (Mac) or shift+alt (Windows) while launching Lightroom.

If that doesn't help please share the crash logs with us via personal message.

            Regards

            Sarika

You need to be more specific, Dave - Lr is absolutely fine for some of us right now.

              What's your OS?

              Graphics card?

Are its drivers fully up to date?

If no (or if it's not a supported card) have you turned off GPU acceleration as suggested by Sarika?

                windows 7 SP 1

only had lightroom cc for around a month and it was fine until the update

I also have standalone lightroom 5 which fortunately still works fine

                graphics card is a Radeon

                processor is intel i7

you can view pics in the library and select 1 for taking into the develop module where you can carry out all the functions

when you return to the library to select another pic and then choose develop the system locks up, doesnt actually change to the develop module and after a short period the top 1/3 turns black

I have tried the uncheck show add photos screen and restarted

I have also uninstalled twice and tried to install an earlier version but that fails to install - dont know why - so I end up with CC reinstalling the latest version which has the same  effect of the lockup described

the only thing I can say in its favour is that its consistent - it locks up every time after 1 edit

just tried the disable graphic processor and restart

went through half a dozen pics with no problems

quit, re-enabled the graphics process and problem returns

disable again and hey presto it works again

Thanks for the solution - I dont think there is a performance hit by disabling the graphics processor but i dont actually know for sure
