I rarely change the Color Noise Reduction setting from the default of 25. Since the latest upgrade and a nearly-simultaneous installation on a new computer, I'm finding the Color Noise Reduction setting at zero on many files. I can't guarantee that I didn't do this accidentally in the past, but certainly don't remember doing so. And, color noise is visible in most images at zero. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas?
Hi Bob Metzler,
It depends upon the format of your images.
Lightroom sets the default value of Noise Reduction to 25 only for the raw images.
Could you please check the format of your images that you recently imported in Lightroom.
The Edited images that went through Photoshop are set to zero, as expected, & also my scans from 35mm slides. But, I'm finding a large number of raw images also at zero color noise reduction. I may have done this accidentally while doing other editing. It's not a big deal to fix, since 25 seems to work for all raw files, so I may just select all my 50,000 or so raw images & Sync them to 25. Thanks for your observation, though.
