I have tried everything. I always have rpoblems with accessibility features in Adobe. It is so frustrating when I can't read it. I checked to make sure that in the properties accessibility features were allowed and it was so I don't understand why it won't change to high contrast white text on black background.
It works at my end. What version of Acrobat are you using?
Is it updated to the latest patch?
Please try repairing Acrobat and check.
It will often depend on how the PDF was created. For PDFs originating from tools like Word it tends to work well, where PDFs are originating from creative or layout oriented tools like InDesign your mileage may vary.
As a simply test I suggest to maybe create a simple PDF using Word or OpenOffice Writer, with just some text in it, and check whether high contrast works in that case.
