Just came across an issue today where my transparent canvas appearance (the grey/white checkerboard) has changed and is now barely visible (it appears as white). If I up the contrast on my screen to extreme levels, or screenshot the canvas area and up the contrast I can see it is still there, but it is pretty much indistinguishable from white. Canvas is definitely set to transparent. I've scoured the options and can't find any that let you change the actual texture or colour of the transparency canvas.
Does anyone know where to find the settings for this? Or at least revert it to how it was?
Here's an image of what it looks like (I want to get it back to the old one which was actually visible). http://i.imgur.com/2AZKTdo.jpg
Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
This sounds like a screen related issue. Fireworks always used a light grey on white checkerboard pattern.
Did you change the screen settings? Have you tested with a second screen yet?
I ask this, because the "New" pattern looks like the correct one on my (color calibrated) screens - as a matter of fact, it has more contrast than the old version.
Thanks for the help, that seemed to be the issue. I played around with the contrast settings on my screen and if I turn contrast down enough then the checkerboard becomes visible again. I'm not sure why it suddenly changed while I was in the middle of using fireworks (didn't make any screen adjustments), but it's fixed now.
