This same issue is happening to me! Any ideas?
We're having the same issue in Premiere.
720x576 from a 1920x1080 timeline using any ProRes format. Rendering out as 1 pixel difference makes it work (e.g. 721x576 or 720x575)
720x576 works with other codecs like h264 it just seems to be that specific pixel dimensions and ProRes for us.
Any joy with a work around?
I'm having this exact problem too! I think El Capitan broke ProRes, at least in the context of 720x576 PAL. I've just submitted a bug report to Adobe using their feedback option in AE, I encourage you all to do the same.
I'm having a very similar issue with Blackmagic Media Express where it will crash on ProRes capture (El Capitan). I brought up the issue on their forums, but frustratingly no resolution yet Blackmagic Forum • View topic - Intensity Pro 4K Media Express crashes on ProRes capture
Rendering as 1 pixel different is interesting, but not ideal if you want to stay standards compliant. Also, I noticed that rendering using AE's square pixel PAL preset 788x576 doesn't crash.
As a side note - when the heck did PAL square pixel change to 788x576?!?!?! For the last 15 years i've been in video production, it was always 768x576! FYI: The AfterEffects CC2015 13.6 update has fixed the ProRes crash issue described above!
Thanks for the confirmation.
