I am creating wireframes in Indesign. I have a master page with menu, logos and such at the top of a standard (1024x768) web sized page. I want to create additional master pages based on the same menu (etc) but at various lengths. (1024 x whatever) to show more content. But when I try adding a different master size based on the main master it places the menu in the middle of the new page, not at the top. How do I keep the menu locked at the top? Thanks!
Create an empty text frame.
Anchor your element (object) into that text frame.
To the element apply an object style.
Via object style you can fix any object if it is anchored to any position on a page and adjust the position via changing the style, it is also possible to make the position relative to different sized page borders or text frames.
I am obviously missing something, because this should be easier. I have tried your suggestions willi (thanks btw) and I have watched a few videos and read a number of tuts and I still am having no joy.
Ok. Alternate Layout did the trick.
