See below. Photo never left LR. See NEF tag, Nikon raw.
yyou must have accidentally synced a clone tool adjustment in this from another image where your did a clone/heal adjustment. Just go back in history on this image and it will fix itself.
I investigated this morning. I had a whole group of photos in LR using the filter mode and five stars. I had not marked them as a group as far as I know. I’ve been using LR for five years, teach it at a local college and I am adobe certified in it so have a fair amount of knowledge about it. Having said that, yes, the whole group got synched when I meant to hit the filter lever at the bottom and must have hit the sync instead, something I’ve never done before. What is odd is that the whole group had had a whole list of other adjustments, not general but local, and all of them were changed and they all lost their 5-star status and were all just simply boxed green, which they had not been at that point. Also, not all of them had that same heal/clone correction.
Pretty weird things going on with the new update so I am happy to hear that Adobe is going back. I have already done that this morning, although the program did not ask for my authorization so I don’t have the dehaze installed, which I did like. I think the problem was both my doing and the doing of LR. I am going though and correcting all images back to their original place prior to the incident, including removing the heal/clone eyeball, which was sort of interesting!!
I love LR and promote it to all, please don’t make these crazy changes like this again.
Sincerely and thank you,
