I'm no professional photographer, but I've been using Lightroom since v1 and am now with cc. I'm annoyed by the fact that I can't put in different keywords to pictures during the same import operation. I sometimes have very different pictures on the same card (landscape on Saturday, family event on Sunday, importing on Sunday evening). When I import them, I would like to keyword them appropriately without having to go back to the library and change the keywords after import. I don't want to do detailed keywording, but at least general ideas. Now, either I have to do two different imports, or I choose one event to prioritize and go back in library to change the wrong keywords.
I would imagine selecting a group of pictures, give them a keyword, then selecting a different group with a different keyword.
Did I miss something? Or is it just me?
You've missed nothing, that's the way it has always been. Where you need to add keywords in a more "granular" fashion, you can just apply them in Library with its richer set of keywording tools.
