    Locked cell in InDesign

      Hi, I'm new to InDesign.

I've purchased a template to create a brochure and am progressing well overall.

However I am having problems changing a locked element of the template. Basically the bottom part of the page (in black) cannot be selected for some reason? I want to click on it to change the colour to something else.

The same applies about the page number section...any help would be appreciated.

Those are on the Master Page assigned to this document page. They can be edited there to affect all pages to which the master is assigned, or you can override to the document page by holding Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (PC) + Shift and clicking on them with the mouse.
