    lightroom lost

    MelissaL

I received the message catalog cannot be found when I attempted to open llightroom. I chose to open a default lightroom. I then went into my lightroom folder and deleted the locked file that was previously not allowing Lightroom to open. After doing so, I cannot not find my original lightroom to open it. It seems the only one there is is the new default one which doesn't have any of my photos in it. How do I get my old lightroom back? Thanks

          Hi MelissaL

          Greetings!!

Just to be sure you deleted the file that ends with .lock extension?

          • Look for the catalog in your Lightroom backup folder
          • Check Trash/Recycle bin and restore the catalog(if deleted by mistake)
          • Start a search for  " *.lrcat " on your computer using Finder/Explorer
          • Then open the resulted catalogs one by one and see if you can locate the original one

          Regards
