Lightroom mobile can be used with one catalog on one device. It will not able to help you with your desired result.
You may consider using a external hard drive to keep your catalog and images. You only need to take the external hard drive, connect it to the computer and open the catalog from it.
Hope this helps.
Not sure I understand your "one device" statement.
The whole point of mobile LR is to use it on other devices... I already can use it on my desktop and a tablet (and a phone for that matter). That's already three devices.
Can you elaborate why my laptop would not be able to join the party?
Gtewks - You are correct, you have three versions of the program working on the different devices. Benefit? 1 subscription X 3 devices at 1 price.
Your frustration is that you desire a central repository so that any of the three devices all store to and read from the same place.
The suggestion, though cumbersome, was that you maintain your catalogs on a portable drive and simply connect the three devices to the portable drive when using each.
On a corporate network, you would have the data stored on a central server that is accessed by many workstations.
I'm curious, if anyone else can chime in here, if I can store my catalogs on Drobpx or Google Drive and point the devices to that. I haven't tried it yet, so just a thought.
