For some reason the new version of LR is very slow. Updating sliders etc seems to have slowed down alot and is showing the spinning wheel often.
One example is when I select more then one file in the development panel. It takes a while to update.
You can see below I've selected 9 images and it says 4 selected and in the other I've selected 1 and it shows 4 selected.
Mac pro with El Capitan 10.11
You can try these two steps:
- Uncheck the option Preferences > General > Show Add Photos Screen.
- Uncheck the option Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor.
These often fix performance issues with 2015.2.1. If problems continue, you should roll back to 2015.1.1, the last really stable release for many, if not most, people: http://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-roll-back-to-lightroom-2015-1-1-or-lightroom-6-1-1/. Adobe has apologized for the mess they've created and is scrambling to clean it up: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2015/10/lightroom-6-2-release-update-and-apology.h tml, Lightroom 6.2 Import Update. Wait for 2015.2.3.
