I've recently downloaded the trial version of After Effects so I can get a feel for the system before paying monthly for it. I've found the program very useful but I am having some problems with it. I've found that it tends to be pretty slow but I can deal with that, the problem is whenever I make a change e.g. add text, and then press play a lot of the time after effects will freeze (or crash) and it will take about 10-15 minutes for it to work again. I've done some research on other forums and videos, some people said to disable auto save which helped for 5 minutes and then it started crashing again. Obviously, this is quite annoying because what should take me half a day to make has taken 3 and I'm nowhere near finished. Is it possible that it is to do with the type of files I'm importing into After Effects, e.g. MP3? I was wondering if anyone has a solution for this or is it something that just happens with After Effects? Thank you!
Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. There could be a million reasons why the program crashes, its dislike for MP3 files just being one of them. If you use CC 2015, uninstall it and install CC 2014. CC 2015 is riddled with bugs and can be utterly useless.
Okay, thank you
