Which computer are you working on , is it a Mac or Windows ?
And where are the images stored, are they on an external or is it in the Internal Drive of the computer .
MacBook Pro, and the images are stored on external drives.
So every time you reconnect the External Drive, does it show the same name , or it shows a different name of the drive.
When I first upload everything is in the right place. I can go through and delete, flag, create collections etc. If I leave for a day or two, when I come back it has created a 'phantom' drive that DOES NOT exist in my system - same name as the external drive, but with a 1 or 2 added to it. I have no idea how this happens. Then when I go to the original drive to work on the images, they are lost, and I can't access them. Very confusing. If I click the 'go to library' option after the error message comes up telling me that the file is now associated with another file, then the option is to merge - but that wipes out all of the previous work. I have no clue how to actually get this sorted.
Thanks for your help...
