    Camera Raw update problem

    charleso34465017

After installing Elements 14 yesterday and after following the instructions in an Adobe update message today, I got this: "Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I200."

I rebooted and tried to update again, but got the same message.  Any solutions?

Camera Raw 6.7 is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 14. You will want to install the latest version of Camera Raw. Why were you trying to install 6.7?

Thanks for the prompt and informative reply.  Actually, Adobe tried to

install it when I clicked on its update prompt.

Not being especially software-literate, I can only guess that my computer's

mix of Elements 14 and Photoshop CS5 led to a misguided update prompt. Your

email led me to check Element's Camera Raw, and it's 9.20.486, so

presumably there's no issue there.  And of course the CS5's is stuck back

at 6.7.1.340, and no update is going to fix that.

In short, thanks to your reply, I'll now serenely ignore the CR update

            prompt.
