    blank DVD not recognised

Could someone please assist?  I am using Adobe Premiere Elements and would like to copy over movie files of mine to a blank DVD.  The DVD-RW is new and blank though my computer and Premiere won't recongise it.  What do I need to do?

Which version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what operating system?

Have you tried formatting the DVD-RW with your operating system before you try to record to it?

Also, can you confirm that you're not trying to use a DVD+ in a drive that will only record DVD- or vice versa? Do any of the other DVD-RWs in the pack work?

What version of Premiere Elements on what computer operating system?

External or internal burner? What type burner - Blu-ray/DVD CD or DVD CD?

What is the specific message that you are getting in the Status field of the burn dialog when you have this DVD-RW in the burner tray?
