Indesign crashes when hyperlinking text to public files on Google Drive

Hi, I've verified the following bug with telephone support but they state they can't file it as a bug so I post it here too.

Indesign crashes when hyperlinking text to public files on Google Drive. The scenario is like follows.

Copy a public share link in Google Drive.

Select text in Indesign (latest version 11.1.0.122).

      Open the Hyperlink panel.

Create new hyperlink for selected text

      Paste the Google Drive link.

      Indesign crashes.

I think this has something to do with Indesign bumping into something it doesn't understand on the way via the internet to the file.

Public files on Dropbox linked this way don't crash Indesign.

Accessing the link to the Google Drive file via browsers like Safari, Chrome and Firefox is not a problem.

I would say that Indesign (if it takes it interactive PDF aspirations serious) should not crash if it can't access a hyperlinked file. Just show a red dot after the link in the hyperlink panel. But really I think it should even be handle public Google Drive files.

Thanks for adding this to the bug list.

Update: also some Google Maps links seem to cause this.

Update 2: it could well be that 'Shared URLs' are the main cause with Google connections.
