When I create a new document, I can put text on a page and place a transparent graphic over it. I can choose arrange and send to the back.
When I try to do this with an established document using Master Pages, I am unable to get the "arrange" option and the text is obscured..
I am using Windows 7 Pro and InDesign CC 2015.1 which I just updated from Creative Cloud. Any help out there?
Master page items are by default behind objects created on document pages.
To make a master page item move to the front, you cannot use the Object > Arrange commands. Instead, you have to create a new layer at a higher stacking order than the object on the document page. Place the master page item on the higher layer. Then it will be in front.
I am struggling with this. I can stack and restack but no matter, the text does not show. Only the text frame can be sent back and forward but No text. When I move the text frame off the graphic, the text shows in the frame.
You probably have text wrap assigned to something.
