Describe your problem in detail. State the EXACT steps you are following, using the Lightroom names of the steps, and if there is any error message, please quote the complete unedited word-for-word error message.
I have followed these instructions from adobe and installed lightroom 6, then 5 then 4.
I don't get an error message. When i go to import an image from lightroom (any of these versions) it doesn't work. The image is not exported.
Roll back to prior update of Lightroom
- Uninstall the current version of Lightroom
Mac OS:Navigate to Applications > Adobe Lightroom > Uninstall Adobe Lightroom and double-click the "Uninstall Adobe Lightroom" executable:Windows 10:
- On the Start menu select Settings.
- In Settings, select System > Apps & features.
- Select the Adobe Lightroom, and then select Uninstall.
- Follow the directions on the screen
Alternatively, if you are using Lightroom CC 2015, you can uninstall using the Creative Cloud desktop app following these instructions: Uninstall or remove Creative Cloud apps
- Download install Lightroom 2015.0/6.0 using the application installer here: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-downloads.html
Note: The installer on this page works for both the perpetual version of Lightroom 6 as well as the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom CC 2015.
- Download and install the 2015.1.1 / 6.1.1 release from: Windows | MacIf you are looking for different update versions, visit the followng page: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-downloads.html
If you receive a message that says “This update is not applicable to you”, you’ve missed step 2. The base 2015.0/6.0 release must be installed before attempting to install the 2015.1.1/6.1.1 patch.
I don't want you to describe to me how you reinstalled something.
I want you to describe the export problem you are having. Describe your steps to create an export in GREAT DETAIL, as I explained. Quote the EXACT error message when you export.
i right click on the image i am trying to export. I select export. I choose the folder on my desk top i am trying to export to. I name the image. I set the image format to JPEG and quality to 100. I leave resize to fit unselected. I then select export. The screen closes as it always has before but no little box appears on the top left hand side showing the export bar and when i go into the folder on my desktop it has not been exported there.
Show me a screen capture of your export dialog box (showing the destination folder).
Also, show me a screen capture of that exact folder in your operating system.
Please tell me how to take a screen shot. and where exactly to go to show it in my operating system. Im sorry I'm not very technical. I feel very deflated and am tempted to just revert back to the basics of photos on the mac...
how do i show you my operating system - what do i open?
It would be nice if you could show Lightroom's Export dialog box large enough so we can read the text there.
Your operating system is your Mac Finder.
We're trying to help you, you could help us so we can read the text. Instead of capture the entire screen on your Mac, crop the photo and just show us the relevant parts of the screen.
Nevertheless, it appears that there is a single JPG photo in that folder, is that what you expect when you export from Lightroom, or not?
No that photo was put in there first and then i haven't been able to upload since then. Don't worry I'm going to abandon the exercise and claim a refund for this month. What a waste of everyones time. From what i can gather this is a problem for a lot of people.
Thank you for your help.
