I just bought my first Mac book Pro. I have updated everything I possibly could and am running OSX el Capitan. Its the 15 inch MacBook pro 2.5 GHZ 16 gigs of memory and has a dedicated graphics card with its own memory. I have tried everything on Adobes website to boost the speed of Light room and it is still really slow and lags. I increased the cache to 25 gigs and I just don't get what I am missing. It takes almost minutes just to zoom into a photo. Does anyone know anything else I should try?
Which version of Lightroom are you using?
Did you tried disabling Graphics processor usage in Lightroom?(if using version CC/6)
Let us know if that helps
I am using the latest version of lightroom with the latest update and yes I did try disabling the graphics processor. Thanks so much for answering.
