> open the moviePath & "APP.pkg"
Are you sure the file named "APP.pkg" exists in the same folder as the
movie that's trying to open it on your Mac? What if you wrap the whole
catastrophe in quotes like so:
sFile = QUOTE & the moviePath & "APP.pkg" & QUOTE
If that still fails you might be best to try an xtra like Buddy API -
which will allow you to check the file exists and will let you know of
an error if baOpenFile() fails: < http://www.mods.com.au>
Packages only seem to open when you provide the path to the app required to run them ( /System/Library/CoreServices/Installer.app )
open _movie.path & "App.pkg" with baFindApp( "xins" )
This requires Buddy so you might as well use the baOpenFile method Sean mentions.
baOpenFile( _movie.path & "App.pkg", "normal" )
Hello Sean, and thanks for responding.
The file is in the same folder. I'll give your suggestion a try. Thanks a bunch. :o)>
