I am running a project where we have a number of image sizes, currently we do all our cropping and editing in photoshop. Im trialing lightroom as I think it would be more efficient, particullarly in terms of getting a consistent tone across the products. I know you can create custom crops but that appears to work on aspect ratio, Is there a way to set it to specific pixel dimensions?
If not, the only process I can think of is still cropping in photoshop then pulling all the PSD's into lightroom to edit the image? Seems a bit long winded..
No, Lightroom's crop tool does not work on exact pixel dimensions due to the way the cropping data is stored. You can get close to the size you want but not exactly at it. Exact sizing is done via the export dialog in the "resize" section.
