You would use wrap around the object shape, then edit the wrap path with the Pen tool. Tedious, to say the least.
So tell us how you converted a multi-line frame to multiple frames in one click...
You should always mention when your solutions require a third-party plugin....
You could make InDesign work with Illustrator. I made a little video to show how to wrap it and to still have an easily editable text. Hope it helps a little.
Cool way with AI!
That makes me think to another very quick and simple tip:
Just use an object style for the effects [wrapping, color effects]!
Select the block with the text, play 3 keyboard shortcuts and it's done! [@ Peter: only ID!]
2 seconds! … [if you want, place the selection on another layer!]
And my text is always editable! Cool!
… As I love to play with QuicKeys, I do it in 0,6 seconds: the time to select the text block and play Ctrl-0, the KS I've associated to my QK shortcut that plays my 3 ID shortcuts in the same time!
Time is money!
Much better than with AI! Thanks!
