    deactivate from lightning destroyed computer

After a Lightning strike while I was in South Africa totalled my laptop I bought a new one. I could not deactivate but accepted my loss and bought what I thought was a new copy of LR CS 6. It looks as if I might have been sold CC 6 which is useless to me as my work takes me to parts of Africa and Australia where I am many hundreds of miles from the nearest Web connection. I had a copy of the original installation files and tried installing that, but neither the original key nor the one supplied in the email acknowledging my purchase will activate the current installation

You don't need to be connected to the web to use LR CC.

          Copied from the Lightroomqueen:

Do I have to be online all the time?

No. You briefly need internet access to activate Lightroom. If you’re a CC subscriber, it ‘phones home’ now and again to check your subscription status, but you can be offline for up to 99 days before it reverts to a limited mode (no Develop, Map or Sync). If you have a perpetual license, Lightroom remains activated until you deactivate it.
