You can reset the synced images that you have synced through Lightroom.
Make sure you have a backup of all your images and edits.
then, go to Lightroom Preferences> Lightroom Mobile> Delete all data
and start the syncing process again.
That helped with the syncing issue, but Lightroom still crashes on quit. Not sure what to try now.
Not sure if you have any suggestions.
Go to Lightroom Preferences> General> uncheck "Show Add Photos Screen" > relaunch Lightroom
I appreciate you trying to help me with this crashing issue. I unchecked "Show Add Photos Screen". It crashed on quit again.
I had to force quit, then I launched again, made sure that preference was unchecked, then tried again. It crashed again.
Could there be an issue with face recognition? It seems the problem began when I turned it on.
That should not be due to face recognition.
You can check if auto face detection is turned off under Catalog settings> Metdata tab
Also, you can follow the below steps :
1. Open Lightroom
2. go to file menu> new catalog> and give it a new name
3. Try to go to preferences and disable add photos from there and see if you are able to close and relaunch Lightroom properly after that.
If that works, then go to file> open recent > open your main catalog and see if that works.
If not, then you might want to roll back to Lightroom CC2015.1.1 for now
I followed the steps however it crashes when it tries to close the current catalog.
