Mrinmay, thanks for your reply however nothing worked. First, as I stated, my application is NOT launching, so your first recommendation (e.g., to launch lightroom and change the preferences....etc.) is impossible. I then followed your link and that did not help either. I have an INTEL graphics driver and after going to the Intel site and searching for any updates to the drivers, etc., I confirmed that I currently have the most up to date drivers. Also, I could NOT find the folder as defined below to manually disable the graphics processor. any other ideas???? maybe I should get my money back from Adobe.
Manually disable the graphics processor
If you can't launch Lightroom or Lightroom crashes before you can uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" you can manually disable this preference using the following steps:
- Navigate to %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
- Open the file Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs in TextEdit
- Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the following useAutoBahn = false
- Save and close the file Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
- Launch Lightroom CC/6 again
still waiting for some type of response. I need help getting this software to work.
Please follow the below steps to navigate to that location.
> Click on Start
> Type in Run in the Start search
> Click on Ok
> Type in %appdata% in the Run dialog box and click Ok.
> Then navigate to \Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences and then follow the above instructions.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for getting me to the right file. However, after I found it and opened it, I noticed that the line they wanted me to change was already properly coded.
in other words, the instructions were as follows: Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the following useAutoBahn = false
But, in my case the line already says useAutoBahn = false
Now what do we do??? any other suggestions? thanks.
Once you have made the changes properly, please save the file and relaunch Lightroom.

please read my last email to you. I noted that there are NO changes for me to make because the change that was suggested is already made.
now what do we do?
this is getting ridiculous. Is there a solution or an actual person to speak or chat with about this issue. it needs to get resolved. who can I call to get my money back?
Please follow the below steps to check the version of Lightroom installed.
> Open Control Panel
> Double click on Programs and Features
> Click on Adobe Lightroom
> At the bottom of the screen, you will find Product version
> Please provide me the Lightroom version information
