Hello, I am using a 2013 macbook retina, maxed so 16gb ram.
I am using the most up to date version of lightroom CC
I feel like Ive gone back to the 1990s.
Please follow the below steps.
> Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
> Click on the General tab
> Uncheck “Show ‘Add Photos’ Screen”
> Restart Lightroom
If this doesn't help, please follow these below steps to check for the issue
> Click on Presets Tab
> Disable Apply auto tone adjustments
> Click on Performance tab
> Disable Use Graphics Processor
> Restart the machine
> Launch Lightroom and check for the issue
Let me know if this helps.
I tried all these things. It makes no difference. Macbook is up to date with newest OS and lightroom is up to date. No other programs are running and the macbook performs flawlessly at everything. Except lightroom.
We have seen some users having this issue with latest version
Please create a new catalog,Import few images then try exporting them
It that fails,I will advise you to roll back to Lightroom version 2015.1.1.See Instructions to roll back to a prior update version
Let us know if that helps
I can’t roll back to the last version. That version continuously crashed on my computers.
And I really don’t want to have to create a new catalog. All my images are in my current catalog. This is something that should be addressed in an update. This renders lightroom next to nonfunctional for pro users that need to do multiple exports and or edit while exporting. Or surf the net. Or anything.
The constant lag and lockups upon export really are fixed by going back to 2015.1.1. It will open and read your current catalog just fine. There is some chance this will also fix your crashes. I could not work with 2015.2.1 at all either and had to revert to have a functional program.
I did as you suggested. It eliminated the spinning wheel and the interruptions but it still left lightroom unusable during the export. I use to be able to export multiple things, while actually being able to edit in the program, all at the same time. The newest version sucks.
Though I appreciate you trying to help, this did not solve anything.
