    SWF Timeline control

      I am trying to put a timeline on my SWF that allows the user to move to different points of the swf. I want them to be able to move a slider to get to different frames forward and back. Any suggestions?

          you can use a onMouseMove method for your slider and _root.gotoAndStop(frameNum) or _root.gotoAndPlay(frameNum). to define the frame numbers use a linear equation with the slider's position as the independent variable.

          for example:

          frameNum= a*slider._x + b
