Please follow the below steps.
> Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
> Click on the General tab
> Uncheck “Show ‘Add Photos’ Screen”
> Click on Presets Tab
> Disable Apply auto tone adjustments
> Click on Performance tab
> Disable Use Graphics Processor
> Restart the machine
> Launch Lightroom and check for the issue

I'm not sure, which change fixed the problem - "Apply auto tone adjustments" was in status disabled, so I did not change it.
"Add Photos" and usage of graphics processor was changed according to your advice.

and I made an update of graphics driver as one of my attempts to handle the LR issue, so it should be the newest version available.
It should fix the issue for now.
