Last week, I cleared off my C:\ Drive, I moved all 2014 files to my external, including the picture folders for Lightroom. I didn't touch my 2015 files because I wanted to be able to access them without having to hook up my external. Two days later, I open Lightroom and all of my 2015 collections that I had created were gone, vanished, they are nowhere to be found, on top of that my presets that I either created myself, purchased or obtained for free are also gone. How can I restore these short of resetting my laptop back to the day before they disappeared.
One possibility is that you (accidentally) opened an empty catalog. Try using File->Open Recent and open each catalog shown there until you find the one you want.
I actually had just seen you respond to another person who basically had this same issue, only he has a Mac, and I have a PC. Thank you! I am going to try this and will let you know the outcome!
One more question; since I had to add some other files, is there a way to merge the catalogs together? It wasn't until after I had already imported a batch of PSD files and tried to add them to what I knew was the target collections and there wasn't one, that I realized that there was a problem.
Thank you again...so very much!
