I received copy (word doc) with a table using Sq Root glyphs in place of check marks. Looking to find replace but GREP and Text can't seem to handle SQUARE ROOT nor CHECK MARK glyphs. So the Glyphs tab obviously right?
Yet making sure i have exact font face match and no tricky Adobe anchored object with font substitution i can't get it to make a match with the SQUARE ROOT glyph.
Any ideas why? Leading on from a previous discussion thread about my confusion even finding these glyphs in fonts that appeared to contain them that didn't.
Just to be sure you've got all the settings correct, try this: Select the glyph in the document, right-click, and choose "Load selected glyph in find". Now try to find it. What happens?
hey thanks for that tip, I've seen those kind of commands in Keyboard Shortcuts but never thought to use it in this situation. Turns out, because glyph is in a table I needed to set the "Include locked layers and locked objects (FindOnly)" even though the layer is not locked i Guess tables are "locked" by class.
